The universe of stationery items is anything but stationary. That’s why I picked the screen name for my Insta when I decided to create an account exclusively for pens, paper, ink and all of the delightful ephemera that accompanies writing.
There are always more things to discover. Although the basics are constant – ink; paper; pen – the permutations are limitless. New materials, colors, methods of manufacture. There are special attributes and new interpretations of these fundamental tools that humans have used to communicate for millennia.
Every day, there are new galaxies to discover.
As my ink-tergallatic (I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself) journey continues to evolve, I’ve met amazing travelers along the way. These fellow stationery explorers make contributions in myriad beautiful ways. Whether it’s inventing new tools, fixing the broken ones, making forgotten things relevant again or empowering others with the means to express themselves – all are making a contribution.
And I want to add to the conversation.
I’ll still be sharing my explorations over on my Insta, and I’m evolving that into its next form with this blog and boutique. Stationery Universe will feature inky musings and discoveries as I continue to learn and grow.
Stationery Universe will have blog posts that review different items, share experiences from pen events and explore topics related to all things analog. We’ll also expand to include resources on the care and feeding of pens and other stationery-related topics, informed by trusted experts in the field.
Our shop will showcase a thoughtfully curated selection of stationery items, hand-selected for (and from!) the community I love. The emphasis is on highlighting smaller and independent makers and craftspeople. Every single item is intentionally chosen because I truly love it, and I know you will too.
