Meticulously measured and set by hand across the entire leather trifold, the Niko’s grommets create its signature look, at once cutting edge and classic. Their extensive placement offers exceptional freedom to cord in notebooks of different sizes and arrange them exactly as you wish. Fold it open to find your planner, journals, and notebook inserts, then wrap them together for the day ahead.

Pair your planner with a journal, add a passport notebook for passing thoughts, or cord in an A6 notebook devoted to a particular project. The Niko works especially well with Hobonichi notebooks and planners, allowing you to bring favorite formats into one personal setup.

B6 offers ample writing space in a comfortably portable size. More compact than A5 and roomier than A6 or passport, it has become a favorite among planners and stationery aficionados who like to keep their pages close.

Each Niko is handcrafted in small batches at Alexander Jay’s Imperfect Concepts atelier in Los Angeles, using Italian vachetta leather imported from Florence. Rich solid colors highlight the interplay of leather and hardware, while painted editions introduce another layer of color and expression. Alex mixes his own pigments and paints each cover by hand, creating a one-of-a-kind piece.

Olive is a soft, sage-inflected green with an earthy warmth and a peaceful, understated character.
