Named after Canopus, the second-brightest star in the night sky, this notebook is crafted to showcase the full beauty of fountain pen inks. Yamamoto’s CANOPUS paper offers smooth 73 gsm pages that balance a satisfying writing feel with excellent performance.

Personally, this has become one of my favorite papers to write on. The surface feels wonderfully smooth under the pen, while still preventing bleedthrough and keeping ghosting to a minimum. It does an exceptional job of highlighting shading, sheen, and color variation without sacrificing usability.

Inside, you will find 88 sheets of blank CANOPUS paper bound to lie flat for easy writing, along with a guide sheet featuring a 6 mm grid on one side and 12 mm lines on the other to support whatever layout you prefer.
